Vyna wanted everyone to be proud of her. And they were proud. She was a lovely child, which was everywhere and everytime when someone needed her, who always had a kind word for everyone and that helped even in the toughest works. Vyna was a little angel come down from heaven, for the delight of the mortals. That's why she had a nickname. Angel.
She found him in a shady spot, just off the annexe cottage for service. Her presence has always offered comfort, relief and peace of mind. For him, the presence of Vyna was something more. He was just a kid and did not know how to call it in the right words , but an adult would call this feeling with childlike ease.
"Something happened, Ari?" she said with a concerned voice, seeing his grim look drown into the feet, moving lazily above the ground. "Tell me what happened!"
Arieskin raised his gaze. There were no tears in his eyes, just a well- suppressed anger.
"My father punished me" he said bitterly. "I can not go down to the gardens."
Vyna became sad, but trying to cheer up a friend, she sat next to him and took his clenched fist in her little hand.
"What did you do?" she asked seriously.
"Nothing bad ... almost. I didn't listen to the teacher. When I become a student of the Academy, I will not have to learn languages!"
"My mom says that every magician should know not only the living languages, but also forgotten ones" said Vyna. "Surely you will be back soon to the gardens. Gwan asked about you. Feels guilty."
"Gwan is stupid." Arieskin countered aggressively, all the time feeling weird butterflies in his stomach. It was Vyna's touch. So soothing and pleasant.
"Gwan is stupid" replied the girl and laughed happily, hugging Arieskin. " Oh , Ari, I want you to smile! I want you to smile all the time!"
Arieskin returned the hug. And smiled. He couldn't fight it. When he grew up, he will marry Vyna. He was sure of it.
"Ari Ari " Vyna ran from the room belonged to rector of the academy of magic. "Haha, guess what I just I received. You'll never guess, because you're just a foolish boy" she pursed her full lips in a seductive smile. "But I'll let you guess, because I have a good heart."
Arieskin was waiting for her outside the door, laden with books that he had yet to read. She did not say why she goes to the rector, she wanted to tease him. She liked to tease him, and he loved the look of her laughing eyes.
"Good lord, have mercy" he smiled a little . "It is not right jumping to conclusions about your future. I'm A gentleman, after all."
Vyna threw herself on the young man 's neck. Several books that barely remained at the top of a small mountain he held, fell to the ground. "Oh, I'm sorry..."
Arieskin kissed her lightly on the cheek and bent down to pick up the books.
"Speak, speak, do not worry about that little disaster."
Vyna gave him a blow on the shoulder and took a theatrical pose.
"I got an internship from Wynam. I'm The first woman that old Wynam agreed to accept. Bow down, Ari, because you are looking at a pioneer!"
Arieskin, was still smiling when Vyna talked about her dreams and future. He felt that he loved her. When he will be older, he will marry Vyna. He was sure of it.
Vyna buried her face in her hands. Arieskin was not the same man she loved. She felt as he playing with her, deliberately hurting her, only to pretend that he still loves her. And she let him do it, because for her he was still important, she could not stop thinking about him , nor at night, nor during the day . He used to love her, she was sure, he couldn't pretend, it was too sincere. Now he played the game. He played the game with everyone, and sometimes it seemed to her that no one sees it. That only she noticed the drastic change, the crack that appeared in his character. She felt that something was wrong, but she was afraid to ask, for fear that he hurts her again. She could not bear the rejection, she did not want it!
Her eyes filled with tears that slowly rolled down her cheek on her folded hands.
